Negro river is the third Amazon River`s longest tributary. The river comes from Colombia. On its way from Colombia, it receives the organic material from the jungle, so its color becomes black and it also changes the environment. That explains why the soil is poor and the wildlife is not so rich. The river is indigenously known as Curiguacumú, which means the "life's poor river".
This river is considered as a paradise in the region and is loved by fishermen because of its low acidity. It means that mosquitoes and other kinds of insects cannot breed so well. So it makes this area clean and nice for tourism activities and fishing sport.
A special boat cruise has been developed in the same style with quality and comfort to show you the Negro River, where you will go and see this amazing ecosystem and its paradisiacal white sand beaches.
The Traditional fleet contains several boats with basic comfort and facilities, such as air-conditioned cabins with private toilets, covered dining rooms with bars and libraries and a 360° view sundeck.
The shallow draught allows us to visit locations inaccessible to many other boats and the outboard powered canoes that we carry are used for trips in lagoons, narrow channels, creeks and flooded forest.
