Negro River Cruise - Premium

  • Book Now

Negro river is the third Amazon River's longest tributary. The river comes from Colombia. On its way from Colombia, it receives the organic material from the jungle, so it gets the black colour and changes the environment. That explains why the soil is poor and wildlife is not so rich. The river is indigenously known as Curiguacumú, which means the "life`s poor river".

This river is considered as a paradise in the region and is loved by fishermen because of its low acidity. It means that mosquitoes and other kinds of insects cannot breed so well. It makes this area clean and nice for tourism activities and fishing sport.

A special boats cruise in the same style with quality and comfort has been developed to show you the Negro river, where you will see this amazing ecosystem and its paradisiac white sand beaches.

For 20 years, Amazon Clipper Cruises has been a leader in operating boat cruises in the Amazon Basin. For those who wish to stay in the comfort of a luxury ship, Amazon Clipper Cruises presents the new Premium boat, a vessel unique in style that offers "simply the best" small-ship cruising in the Amazon. It is large enough to offers spacious cabins with lower beds and inviting public spaces. But it is small enough to dock at remote spots and also to cruise to hidden locations thanks to its shallow draft of only 3 feet. The Amazon Clipper Premium is the perfect size for a comfortable cruise on the Amazon rivers.

You will experience the trips with our outboard powered canoes in smaller creeks to see life on the flooded plains, rubber trees, lakes with giant water lilies as well as to watch the birds, visit the local inhabitants and walk in the forest. You are always accompanied by experience guides. Your adventure will also include fishing for piranhas, night trips to see nocturnal animals, and viewing the floating docks, the market and houses on stilts.

The unique on the Amazon Clipper Premium is a spacious observation on a sun deck with a fantastic 360° panoramic view. The window-lined dining room can provide seats to all passengers at same time. Clients will be offered excellent meals, up to international standards, prepared with utmost care by our experienced kitchen staff.

You can help yourself from a great variety of fresh foods including daily specials or vegetarian meals. All are served as a buffet. With a length of 32m (106 feet), and a beam of 9m (30 feet), the Amazon Clipper Premium hosts only 32 guests in 16 spacious all-outside cabins, with lower beds, private bathroom facilities with hot shower, individual air-conditioning and safety boxes. The boat's kitchen is fully equipped with freezers, charcoal filters and a plentiful supply of mineral water.
