Our focus is on increasing awareness about the preservation around highway BR 319 and supporting the native people
The hotel works with people from the Tupana River, all the collaborators are natives who live close to the lodge, which is an area considered forgotten by governments.
The construction of this road in the 70's helped people to move from other states in Brazil to the surroundings of the road, but over time the road was completely abandoned and was destroyed. The people who depended on and dreamed of the progress of the road ended up disappointed. Today the river is known as an area that is completely preserved, rich in animal life, and with several species of birds and many fish.
However, it suffers from the effects of road restoration efforts that will soon connect Manaus to the rest of Brazil and thereby help in the increase of deforestation. The owner's intention is to form partnerships with the region's residents and make the place an environmental protection area. The aim is to develop projects and manage them with the help of the locals to do our bit for forest preservation.
